You want to capture each moment of your special day. Having professional make-up will help ensure that your photos will be perfect for years to come. Here are some tips to make it easier...
3-6 months before wedding day: Research and book a professional make-up artist for your wedding make-up and schedule your trial run. Look for images and inspiration to bring your make-up artist at your trial run.
Make sure you are on a good skincare regime and exfoliating 2-3 times a week. This will ensure all clogged pores and dry or oily skin is under control for a smooth makeup application for the big day. I highly recommend you treating your face to a relaxing facial two-weeks prior to your wedding to help with stress breakouts and hydration of the skin. Also, make sure to drink lots of water and stay hydrated!
3-5 days prior to wedding: Have all facial hair, especially eyebrows, waxed or tweezed. Do not get them waxed the day before or day of due to redness that occurs after hair removal.
Day/Night before the big day: Make sure to get a good night's sleep. This will help you avoid being dehydrated and having baggy/tired eyes in photos. Stay hydrated. Try to drink at least a 1/2 gallon of water. And, avoid excessive drinking. It dries out your skin and causes the make-up to not adhere well.
Day of: Come to your appointment with a clean, make-up free face. If you don't your artist will remove all make-up and start fresh to ensure you have long lasting, photo-friendly application possible. If you have an idea how you want your makeup and have not had a trial run (which I highly recommend), make sure you bring a picture of your ideas to share with your artist.
